DIRECTOR'S BIO

Sue Woodka Jordan

Sue comes from a family of community theater folks in Indiana. She won her first award in the South Bend Civic Theater production of The Bad Seed when she was in 12. From there she attended the Theatre Department at UCLA, where she played many roles including the lead in an original mainstage musical production of Jimmy Shine her senior year. Tallahassee became home in 1984 and Sue found a new theatre family at TLT and OffStreet Players. She was given the Best Actress Award for her performance in TLT’s Agnes of God in 1985. In 1992, with the birth of her daughter Emma, Sue chose motherhood to be the only part worth playing. Her creative needs were met through a job on the radio as the morning deejay on WTNT. Sue returned to the TLT stage in 2005 with the role of Truvy in Steel Magnolias. She was given the award for Performance Most Enjoyed for her role as Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. Last season Sue directed Death of a Salesman. She owns LaSalle Marketing, an advertising agency that specializes in small business.
